The length of the teaspoon, 5 to 6.3 inches balances the wider bowl of the tea cup.

 This is such a common spoon, people tend to use it for tea, coffee, sugar, honey,  and measuring - although we do have special spoons for these other things. The teaspoons' design and size make it a versatile tool in the kitchen.

The Tablespoon

Larger than the teaspoon, the tablespoon holds about three times as much—approximately 15 mi/g. Its larger bowl makes it ideal for eating more substantial portions, such as soups or stews. When it comes to cooking, tablespoons are essential for measuring ingredients, ensuring accuracy in recipes.

The Soup Spoon

The soup spoon is crafted with a larger bowl for enjoying soups and broths. A soup spoon can be more oval for eating hearty stews, or more round and deep for sipping broths. Oval bowls hold 15-16ml. Rounded bowls hold 18-20ml.

The Sugar Spoon

Designed with a small, round, and deep bowl, the sugar spoon is perfect for scooping sugar from a bowl into your tea or coffee. Its design minimizes spillage and allows for a measured amount, keeping your sweetness consistent. A proper sugar spoon holds 4g of granulated sugar. A classic sugar spoon bowl is shaped like a seashell.

The Dessert Spoon

A dessert spoon is slightly larger than a teaspoon but smaller than a tablespoon, has a 10ml/g bowl. Its size and oval shape make it ideal for enjoying desserts like puddings or ice creams. The design allows for easy scooping and ensures a comfortable fit in the mouth, enhancing the sweet experience.

The Iced Tea Spoon

Long and slender, the iced tea spoon is specifically designed to reach the bottom of tall glasses. Its narrow bowl is perfect for stirring and mixing drinks without splashing, making it an essential tool for any iced beverage lover. It has the same bowl capacity as a regular tea spoon which is 5ml/g.

The Demi-tasse Spoon

Used primarily with espresso cups, the demi-tasse spoon is small and delicate. Its petite size is perfect for stirring sugar or cream into a rich, concentrated coffee without overpowering the small cup. The bowl is 2.5-5g,

The Coffee Spoon

Essentially, all demitasse spoons are coffee spoons, but "coffee spoon" can occasionally refer to a slightly larger "after-dinner" coffee spoon (around 4.5 to 5 inches) used for a standard size tea sup. The standard coffee spoon has a 5ml/g bowl - the same as a tea spoon, but the length of the spoon is shorter (4.5 to 5 inches) to balance with proportions of a coffee cup. A standard teaspoon measures 5 to 6.3 inches long to balance the wide tea cup bowl.

Serving Spoons

Serving spoons are larger than most other spoons, designed to dish out generous portions of food. Often found on the dining table during family-style meals, their robust design and large bowl make them ideal for serving sides and casseroles. A standard serving spoon typically measures 8 to 12 inches in total length and features a bowl capacity of 1 to 3 ounces (approx. 30 to 90 ml)
